What are the neuromuscular diseases

Neuromuscular diseases: The most common type of myasthenia gravis is myasthenia gravis, in which myasthenia gravis of the ocular muscle type is more common, and usually patients can have weakness in lifting the eyelids. In particular, there is a phenomenon of morning relief and evening aggravation, also known as lightness and heaviness, and the patient can be given oral bromipyridamole or neostigmine as a general treatment. Secondly, neuromuscular disease can also be seen clinically in polymyositis, periodic paralysis, or progressive myotonic dystrophy, and generally patients can present with muscle disease. For treatment, the diagnosis should be confirmed by laboratory tests or electromyography, and after the diagnosis is confirmed, it is recommended that treatment be carried out under the guidance of a specialist. There are also rare clinical conditions, such as mitochondrial myopathy or mitochondrial brain disease, which are neuromuscular diseases of genetic origin.
