What is asymptomatic proteinuria?

Asymptomatic proteinuria may be related to functional proteinuria, erectile proteinuria, cryptoglomerulonephritis, and so on.
1. Functional proteinuria: generally there is no organic lesion in the urinary system, and proteinuria appears temporarily. For example, strenuous exercise, mental stress, etc., resulting in increased glomerular capillary permeability proteinuria.
2. Upright proteinuria: common in adolescents, may be related to hemodynamics, neuroendocrine and so on. Proteinuria occurs when the patient is in the upright position or the forward convex position of the spine, and usually disappears when the patient is lying down.
3. Occult glomerulonephritis: may be related to infection, immune response, etc.. Accompanied by proteinuria, no edema, hypertension and renal hypoplasia, clinically known as asymptomatic proteinuria. It can be seen in mild lesional glomerulonephritis, mild thylakoid proliferative glomerulonephritis and so on.
Asymptomatic proteinuria can also be seen in other causes, it is recommended that the patient to improve the relevant examination, to clarify the cause, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
