If the EKG shows sinus arrest, the patient can be followed and observed if the condition is mild.
If sinus arrest is detected by ECG, it should also be judged in relation to the patient’s heart rate and the presence of symptoms. If the sinus arrest is episodic, the patient does not have any conscious symptoms and the ECG shows that the patient’s heart rate is above 50 beats/min, treatment is usually not necessary. If the patient has symptoms such as panic, palpitations, chest tightness, dizziness, darkness, and impaired consciousness, treatment is needed.
For symptomatic sinus arrest, treatment can be done with drugs such as isoprenaline, aminophylline, atropine, etc. For patients with recurrent syncope and episodes of A. S. Syndrome who are ineffective on drug treatment, they can be treated with permanent pacemaker implantation.
If the diagnosis of sinus arrest is confirmed, please follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
