Localized bleeding from the anus during a bowel movement requires registration with the Department of Proctology for examination as well as treatment. Blood in the stool is mainly due to bleeding from the mucous membrane of internal hemorrhoids, or bleeding from anal fissures. The color of the bleeding is usually bright red, and the amount of bleeding is not particularly large. If the blood in the stool is accompanied by purulent discharge, it is possible that there is an inflammatory disease of the intestine, and further e-colonoscopy is required. Conventional treatment of bright red stool bleeding is mainly oral treatment with Diyu Huai Jiao Pills and local application of Yunnan Baiyao hemorrhoid cream to stop bleeding. In case of blood in the stool due to intestinal tumor or inflammatory bowel disease, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic or surgical removal is required.
