It is used for dizziness and redness of the eyes, tinnitus and deafness caused by dampness-heat of the liver and gallbladder, dystocia and bitterness of the mouth (pain in the area of the ribs and the coils, and bitterness in the mouth), redness of the urine, and wet-heat leucorrhea. It should not be taken for a long time by people with weak spleen and stomach, and should be used with caution by pregnant women and people with stomach cold. It is not advisable to take tonic Chinese medicines at the same time while taking the medicine.
Ginseng Strengthening the Spleen Pill is composed of ginseng, atractylodes macrocephala (stir-fried in bran), poria, yam, tangerine peel, mukong, and sand nut. It is used for symptoms of weak spleen and stomach, such as poor diet, stuffy and noisy epigastric region (stomach feeling like hunger, emptiness with burning), nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain and loose stools (thin and unshaped feces), lack of appetite, and weakness and lethargy. Not suitable for patients with fever and cold.
