The liver function test is mainly based on glutathione, glutamic oxalacetic transaminase and bilirubin. Normal glutathione and glutamic oxalacetic transaminase are below 40 U/L. If they exceed 40 U/L, it indicates the existence of liver function damage. The main causes of liver function impairment are drugs, viral hepatitis and autoimmune hepatitis, while elevated bilirubin generally indicates possible biliary obstruction, which is mainly caused by gallstones, pancreatic head cancer and so on. The normal creatinine value is below 110 μmol/L and the urea nitrogen value is below 7.5 mmol/L. If the value exceeds the upper limit of normal, it is called abnormal kidney function. The cause of abnormal renal function may be acute renal impairment caused by certain nephrotoxic drugs, or chronic renal failure caused by chronic kidney disease. The next step is to improve the diagnosis further by improving the ultrasound of both kidneys, anti-nuclear antibody profile, anti-neutrophil antibody, immune function and other related tests.
