Brain metastases need to be treated symptomatically, and common treatments include surgical resection, radiotherapy, drug therapy and so on. 1. Surgery is mainly applicable to single brain metastases with diameter larger than 3cm or less than 3 non-functional metastases, tumors insensitive to radiotherapy, such as colon cancer, etc. Those with KPS score greater than or equal to 70 can be considered to choose surgical treatment. 2. Radiotherapy is the main treatment for brain metastases, tumors that cannot be removed by surgery or incompletely removed and sensitive to radiotherapy, such as small cell lung cancer. At present, the most commonly used is whole brain radiotherapy, which also includes gamma knife, X-knife, particle beam knife and other treatment methods. 3. Drug therapy: chemotherapeutic drugs such as cisplatin and carboplatin can be chosen according to the pathological type of primary foci, and some molecular targeted drugs such as gefitinib are also commonly used at present. Meanwhile, for patients with high cranial pressure symptoms such as headache, nausea, projectile vomiting, etc., mannitol, dexamethasone and other symptomatic treatment can be given. The drugs all need to be applied under the guidance of doctors. It is recommended that when patients are diagnosed with brain metastases, they should go to the hospital as early as possible and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment.
