Health guidance —- urinary stones

There are principles for drinking water for patients with kidney stones. If the stones are large enough to cause urinary obstruction or if hydronephrosis has occurred, they should be treated surgically or with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. It is not advisable to drink more water blindly. If the stone is small, you should drink more water to flush the urinary tract and help the small stones to be excreted with urine. Drinking more water will be more effective if it is combined with medication. During the high temperature season, the human body is prone to sweating. Drinking more water can prevent the concentration of urine, which has a certain effect on the prevention of stone formation and renal colic caused by stones. The amount of water should be around 1500 to 2000 ml in 24 hours, and it should be divided into several times, not to drink too much water in a short period of time.
