If there are changes of fibrosis in the lungs, even if it is a little fibrosis, it cannot be cured. The causes of pulmonary fibrosis are particularly diverse, with about 200 different kinds of causes, some of which have clear causes, such as mushroom lung caused by people who grow mushrooms, and coal workers’ pneumoconiosis, silicosis, and so on. There are also connective tissue diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, myositis, dermatomyositis, and dry syndrome, which can also cause fibrosis-like lesions in the lungs. This condition can be treated with oral hormones or cytotoxic drugs and, if necessary, antifibrotic treatment with pirfenidone and nidanib. If the cause is unknown, the most common are idiopathic interstitial pneumonia, as well as idiopathic interstitial pulmonary fibrosis and desquamative interstitial pneumonia. In this case, if fibrotic changes occur, they cannot be cured either. Idiopathic interstitial fibrosis lesions are predominantly fibrotic and can be treated with antifibrotic therapy with pirfenidone and nidanib. Other diseases that are closely related to smoking, such as desquamative interstitial pneumonia, can be largely alleviated after quitting smoking. Of course, these pulmonary fibrosis diseases can also be treated with Chinese herbal medicine, which has a better effect in relieving the patient’s symptoms.
