Flashing white light in the eyes is a flashing sensation. If you are highly myopic or have a sudden appearance of similar symptoms after eye trauma, a flashing sensation is highly suspected and may be a precursor to hole-derived retinal detachment. If black shadows suddenly appear floating with the eyes, such as smoke, or certain areas are dark to see, and a watery feeling appears in front of the eyes, you need to go to the hospital ophthalmology clinic for examination in time. Some patients have no other manifestations except for flickering white light symptoms, which may also be caused by posterior vitreous detachment. The posterior detachment will cause mechanical pulling on the retina, stimulating the retinal photoreceptors and producing a flashing sensation. If there is no abnormality in the fundus after examination, observe temporarily, pay attention to rest and avoid strenuous exercise.
