Novel coronaviruses belong to the genus β. Novel coronaviruses have an envelope and round or oval particles, which are often polymorphic. These viruses are highly infectious, mainly through respiratory droplet transmission and close contact transmission, but also through direct or indirect contact with the respiratory secretions of infected persons and infection. The clinical manifestations after infection are similar to those of common viral colds, with fever, malaise, and dry cough as the main manifestations, and a few patients with nasal congestion, runny nose, diarrhea, etc. Serious cases are also prone to fatal complications.
