Early knowledge of winter and spring pressure reduction

Hypertension is one of the chronic diseases that endanger the physical and mental health of human beings. It is serious and can lead to a series of complications such as stroke, hypertensive encephalopathy, heart disease and kidney disease, which seriously endanger the lives of patients. Therefore, it is especially important to establish good living habits and reasonable and effective treatment measures to maintain blood pressure in the ideal range. The human blood pressure is affected by various factors, among which seasonal factors cannot be ignored. In its natural state, the blood pressure of hypertensive patients is highest in winter. This is because the winter temperature is low, the blood vessels are in a state of contraction, blood flow resistance increases, blood pressure rises significantly; while the rapid climate change in spring, morning and evening temperature difference, blood pressure is easy to fluctuate. Therefore, it is extremely unreasonable to have the same blood pressure lowering program all year round. Moreover, winter and spring are the seasons with high incidence of cardiovascular diseases, so how to keep blood pressure stable in winter and spring, avoid excessive fluctuations and reduce the occurrence of complications is the key to hypertension treatment. So how can hypertensive patients safely and comfortably spend the long winter and spring? First of all, live a regular life and exercise appropriately. The temperature is low in winter and spring, so it is not advisable to exercise too early in the morning, and to wait for the temperature to rise before carrying out appropriate activities. Hypertension patients should not be strenuous exercise, you can carry out some soothing exercise, such as: walking, playing tai chi, etc., is conducive to lowering blood pressure. Secondly, pay attention to warmth, increase clothing in time, especially from indoor to outdoor activities to have a process of adaptation, be sure to wear good clothes before going out. And hypertensive patients, especially the elderly on the blood pressure regulation ability is poor, so the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is easy to cause blood pressure fluctuations, resulting in danger. Once again, eat a light diet, eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water, eat less animal offal, forbid fried foods, and quit smoking and drinking to help reduce blood viscosity. Finally, adjust the antihypertensive drugs according to the blood pressure level. Usually in cold weather and winter, the dose of antihypertensive drugs or the number of doses should be slightly increased to keep the blood pressure in the normal range (systolic blood pressure 140 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure 90 mmHg or less). But do not take a large number of drugs, so that the blood pressure drops suddenly. Because of the sudden drop in blood pressure makes the blood flow speed slow down rapidly, and the body’s compensatory function can not quickly play a role, resulting in serious shortage of blood supply to the brain and heart and other important organs, prone to adverse events. In addition, irregular medication (such as stopping medication at will, intermittent medication, etc.) can cause blood pressure fluctuations, which can also cause serious consequences. In order to spend winter and spring comfortably, hypertensive patients should take care of all aspects of their blood pressure.
