How many metronidazole tablets to take at a time

Metronidazole usually requires 2-3 tablets at a time. Metronidazole tablets are anti-anaerobic treatment for amebiasis of the intestinal tract and are used in obstetrics and gynecology for two main diseases: vaginitis and pelvic inflammatory disease. Vaginitis mainly treats trichomoniasis or bacterial vaginosis and is usually taken orally 2 times/day, 2 tablets/time for 5-7 days. Adverse reactions can occur after metronidazole is taken orally, the most common being side effects in the digestive system, commonly nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, etc. Therefore, when taking metronidazole orally, it is recommended to take it after meals to reduce side effects to a certain extent. In addition, oral metronidazole treatment is not recommended if the patient has recent fertility requirements or may be pregnant.
