What is the difference between Qi stagnation and Qi deficiency

Qi stagnation and Qi deficiency differ mainly in terms of pathogenesis as well as clinical manifestations. The causes of Qi stagnation and Qi deficiency are different. Qi stagnation is mainly due to emotional and emotional depression, attack of foreign evil, weakness of the body and the inability to transport and transform qi, resulting in the poor operation of qi. Qi deficiency is mainly caused by congenital loss of nourishment, overwork or prolonged illness. The clinical manifestations of Qi stagnation and Qi deficiency are different. Qi stagnation leading to liver qi stagnation will cause symptoms such as swelling and pain in the chest and hypochondriacs, impatience and irritability. If qi stagnation occurs in the spleen and stomach, it may manifest as fullness and pain in the epigastric region, poor appetite (reduced food intake), and so on. If qi stagnates in the lungs, coughing and phlegm may occur. Stagnant Qi can also lead to blood stasis, and women may experience amenorrhea. Qi deficiency is mainly manifested by symptoms such as less qi and laziness (shortness of breath and inability to speak), dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, and spontaneous sweating.
