Pediatric Diao Qiao Qing Heat Granules can be used to relieve fever and cough, nasal congestion and runny nose, red and swollen pharynx, dullness (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), thirst, distension of the epigastrium (abdomen), constipation, or foul-smelling stools with yellow ulcers caused by stagnant syndromes of wind-heat colds in pediatric patients. It can assist in reducing fever, but is not an antipyretic. The most commonly used antipyretics during infancy are ibuprofen or acetaminophen-based antipyretics, which are currently safer for children and can be used repeatedly within 4-6 hours, if the temperature exceeds 38.5℃. Pediatric Bei Qiao Qing Hei Granules can assist in reducing fever, but only for low fever when the auxiliary antipyretic.
