Back and leg pain is not simple, spinal cord tumors need to be alert

Intravertebral tumor is a common cause of low back pain, which can be cured by surgical excision. The main symptom is nerve root pain, which is electric burning, pins and needles, cutting or pulling sensation, spreading along the nerve root distribution area, with band-like distribution in the trunk and linear distribution in the limbs, and night pain or lying down pain is the special symptom of intravertebral canal tumor. In addition, it is often accompanied by numbness and weakness of limbs and difficulty in urination and defecation. These tumors include nerve sheath tumors, spinal meningiomas, and neurofibromas. The most important test is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which can directly observe the shape, location, size and relationship of the tumor to the spinal cord. The most effective treatment is surgical removal of the tumor. Low back and leg pain is a common condition in daily life, the symptoms are prolonged, sometimes light and sometimes heavy, often do not get enough attention, but if the pain continues to worsen and the general treatment measures are ineffective, we should go to the hospital to identify the cause and treat the disease to avoid delaying the condition.
