There are individual differences in the approximate years of life after curing gastric cancer, which are closely related to the criteria of curing, malignancy degree and stage of the tumor. Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor of digestive tract with high malignancy and high mortality rate. If radical surgery is the criterion for cure, the survival period of intermediate and advanced gastric cancer with high malignancy is relatively short, with a low survival rate of 5 years, and most of them can only survive for 1-3 years. If the criterion for curing gastric cancer is no recurrence for 5 years after treatment, patients will have a longer survival period, even 10-20 years, and most of these patients belong to early stage gastric cancer. Clinically, most gastric cancer patients are already in the middle to late stage when they are diagnosed, so their survival period is mostly shorter, usually not more than 5 years. After surgery, patients with gastric cancer should eat a light diet, try to eat soft and easy to digest food, and eat less and more meals.
