What’s going on with the tingling in the liver area?

Tingling in the liver area can be categorized as physiological or pathological. Most physiologic cases are related to fatigue, mental and dietary factors. Pathologic may appear hepatitis, fatty liver, gallbladder disease and so on. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and standardized treatment. 1. Physiological tingling in the liver area is mostly related to fatigue, spirit, diet and other factors. Long working hours or staying up late; emotional instability, nervousness, anxiety, agitation, etc.; frequent consumption of spicy stimulation, cold, tobacco and alcohol, etc.; all these may lead to the emergence of transient pain. Usually, this kind of pain can be relieved by itself, and no special treatment is needed. 2. Pathologic tingling in the liver area may be related to viral hepatitis, fatty liver, cholecystitis and other diseases. (1) Hepatitis: Inflammation of the liver caused by various factors. Patients may manifest nausea, vomiting, anorexia and tingling in the liver area. It is mainly treated with medication, and it is recommended to avoid drinking alcohol, overworking and using drugs that damage the liver. (2) Fatty liver: Patients are usually asymptomatic, but a few may have fatigue, mild discomfort in the right upper abdomen, vague pain in the liver area, tingling or epigastric distension. It is related to alcoholism, obesity and many other factors. It needs to be treated according to the patient’s own situation for life or medication. (3) Gallbladder disease: because the gallbladder is around the liver, tingling in the liver area may also be caused by gallbladder disease. Such as: acute and chronic cholecystitis, gallbladder stones and so on. Most of the gallbladder diseases can present nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. Patients are advised to maintain a good daily routine and diet. If physical causes are ruled out, patients are advised to go to the hospital for a careful examination to avoid delaying their condition.
