What is the anti-osteoporosis triad?

The anti-osteoporosis triad is calcium + vitamin D + other anti-osteoporosis drugs, such as calcium carbonate + osteotriol + calcitonin injection.

Calcium is the basic drug for treating primary osteoporosis, and vitamin D can promote calcium absorption. Other anti-osteoporosis drugs include bisphosphonates, calcitonin, estrogen and other drugs that inhibit bone resorption, and parathyroid hormone and other drugs that promote bone formation.

Combination therapy with the appropriate drugs can be chosen according to the patient’s own situation. For postmenopausal osteoporosis, calcium + vitamin D + estrogen can be used, and for osteoporosis type I as well as type II osteoporosis that is not willing to accept estrogen treatment, calcium + vitamin D + bisphosphonates can be applied.

After the diagnosis of osteoporosis is confirmed, drug treatment should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
