Patients with acute pelvic effusion may have fever, headache, loss of appetite, persistent abdominal pain, lumbago and other symptoms. Fever in patients with acute pelvic effusion is mainly manifested as absorbing fever, due to which the fever in turn causes generalized symptoms such as dysphoria, headache, insomnia, etc. However, the generalized symptoms of the patients are usually not particularly obvious, though they may last for a longer period of time. Acute pelvic effusion is usually seen in pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, endometriosis and other gynecological diseases caused by pathological pelvic effusion. It usually starts slowly from one side of the adnexal area and spreads to the opposite side, so there will be abdominal pain on one side or bilateral abdominal pain. It is accompanied by abdominal distension, anal burning sensation, and in severe cases, pain in the lumbosacral region and lumbago. Patients with acute pelvic effusion have more pelvic fluid, which cannot be absorbed by themselves.
