Symptoms of Luteal Deficiency

Luteal insufficiency means that the corpus luteum is not fully formed after ovulation by the ovaries, so that the endometrium is not converted in time when progesterone secretion is insufficient, which is not conducive to the fertilization of the egg, and therefore, often leads to infertility or habitual abortion. The manifestations of luteal insufficiency are as follows: First, the luteal secretion is insufficient, which shortens the menstrual cycle. Secondly, there is often a small amount of red vaginal discharge a few days before menstruation, before the official onset of menstruation. Third, although the basal body temperature is bi-directional, it rises or falls in a stepwise manner and the luteal phase is shortened to 10-12 days. Fourth, if pregnancy occurs, most patients will have an early miscarriage and a few patients have infertility. Fifth, luteal insufficiency leads to insufficient duration of high temperature, lasting only 8 days, and high temperature lasting less than 12 days indicates luteal insufficiency.
