Sugar foot generally refers to the diabetic foot, a complication of diabetes mellitus with clinical manifestations such as abnormal foot sensation and pain. Diabetic foot is a diabetic patient due to the distal lower extremity nerve abnormalities and varying degrees of vascular lesions caused by foot infection, ulceration and deep tissue destruction. Clinical manifestations include abnormal foot sensation, foot pain, difficulty in walking, and may be combined with infection, gangrene, and ulceration. The treatment of diabetic foot includes controlling blood sugar; diabetic foot caused by neurosensory abnormalities can be treated with drugs such as alpha lipoic acid; lower limb ischemia can be treated with anti-platelet aggregation drugs such as aspirin and clopidogrel; and surgical treatment. Patients with symptoms of diabetic foot are advised to go to the hospital for consultation; patients with diagnosed diabetic foot should actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment.
