Irregular bleeding in the vagina is one of the most common side effects after taking the emergency contraceptive pill, Yutin. This symptom mainly occurs 2-3 days after taking the pill and can be manifested as spotty bleeding in the vagina. As a result of taking Yuktin contraceptive pill (levonorgestrel tablets) interfered with the endocrine function of the ovaries, affecting the endometrium and thus causing a small amount of bleeding. The bleeding symptoms usually stop on their own. Occasional use of the emergency contraceptive pill does not cause any major adverse effects and is not a cause for concern. However, if the emergency contraceptive pill is taken too frequently, it may interfere with the normal endocrine function of the ovaries due to exogenous progesterone, resulting in menstrual disorders or damage to the patient’s liver function.
