Are strong light spots in the right and left ventricles chromosomal abnormalities?

Right and left ventricular strong spots are not necessarily chromosomal abnormalities and can be a manifestation of fetal cardiac ultrasound. The strong light spots are generally associated with fibrosis of the tendon cords of the ventricular papillae and mineral deposits in the center of the papillae, etc. As the fetus develops, the strong light spots in the left and right ventricles will shrink and disappear, and only a very small number of the strong light spots in the left and right ventricles of the fetus are associated with chromosomal abnormality, so this result alone cannot confirm the diagnosis of chromosomal abnormality. If the presence of bright spots in the right and left ventricles is detected during labor and delivery examination, noninvasive DNA testing should be performed promptly to determine whether the fetus has chromosomal abnormalities. Meanwhile, systematic color ultrasound can also be done in the middle of pregnancy to check whether the strong spots in the right and left ventricles appear to shrink or disappear with the increase of pregnancy weeks. It is recommended that pregnant women should pay attention to observe whether there are any complications under the guidance of doctors, do regular labor and delivery checkups, and seek medical attention promptly if they feel unwell.
