Surgery for tennis elbow is mainly considered in cases of persistent tennis elbow, that is, when the disease lasts for more than six months and 2-3 times of closure are not effective. There are two types of surgery, one is incision surgery, in which a small incision is made in the elbow joint to find the inflamed tendons with deformation and edema, and then the bad tendons are cut out and the good tendons are sutured and fixed again. Another trend that is becoming more and more popular is the minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, in which the arthroscope is placed inside the elbow joint through a few small holes, and the degenerated and edematous tendons can be cut off through a minimally invasive method, and a clean-up and suture fixation is done.
