Treatment of tennis elbow

What is tennis elbow? The pain at the muscle stop of the lateral elbow joint of the upper limb is often referred to as tennis elbow, which is a persistent pain caused by chronic strain such as repeated flexion and extension of the elbow joint and lifting heavy objects. How is tennis elbow treated? The treatment of tennis elbow is mainly conservative, and most of them can achieve satisfactory results. The conservative treatment methods include reducing the intensity of the painful arm activity, local hot compresses, topical creams, massage, together with symptomatic medications. If the above methods do not work well, local closure or local release with small needles can also be used to achieve satisfactory results. The biggest problem of tennis elbow is that it is recurrent, good and bad. If the above methods are not completely effective, then arthroscopic release can be of great help in times of crisis. Arthroscopy can reveal the thickened synovial membrane in the joint and the adhesions at the extensor tendon stops that cause tennis elbow pain.
