Numbness of the arms may be related to physiological factors, or it may be caused by cervical spondylosis, peripheral neuropathy, spinal cord cavernous disease and other reasons.
1. 3. Peripheral neuropathy: common for diabetic peripheral neuropathy, belongs to one of the complications of diabetes mellitus, can lead to patients with peripheral nerve damage, may cause numbness in both arms, often combined with numbness in both lower limbs. Other inflammatory immune, poisoning and other factors related to peripheral diseases can also appear double arm numbness.
4. Spinal cord cavernous disease: the disease often involves the patient’s cervical cord, medulla oblongata or thoracic medulla, when the cervical cord is involved, it may cause numbness of the arms, may also be accompanied by pain in the arms, gait instability and other manifestations.
Numbness in both arms, after excluding physiological factors, should go to the regular hospital as soon as possible, after confirming the cause, give targeted treatment.
