Auditory neuroma can be cured, including surgical treatment, stereotactic radiotherapy and so on.
1. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment mainly involves complete removal of the acoustic neuroma, which can be completely cured if the surgery is successful. If the surgery is successful, the tumor can be completely cured. If the symptoms of the residual acoustic neuroma recur after the surgery, a second surgical resection can be performed or gamma knife treatment can be considered.
2. Stereotactic radiotherapy: It is mainly combined with CT or MRI imaging technology to localize and characterize the acoustic neuroma, and improve the condition through microsurgery. There is a high possibility of cure through surgical treatment, but a few patients may have complications, including hearing loss and facial nerve damage.
A reasonable treatment plan should be chosen under the guidance of a doctor’s interview after suffering from an acoustic neuroma.
