It can be used for lung consumption caused by qi and yin depletion, symptoms include weak cough, shortness of breath, low voice, sputum is thin and white, occasionally with blood in the sputum, hot flashes in the afternoon, etc. It can be used to treat lung consumption caused by qi and yin depletion.
Note that this formula should not be used if there is congestion of dampness, inflammation of liver fire, damp-heat of liver and gallbladder (damp-heat evils accumulated in the liver and gallbladder), or deficiency of spleen and kidney yang (deficiency of yang qi in the spleen and kidneys).
