Synovitis treatment modalities include physical therapy, drug therapy, and surgical treatment.
1. Physical therapy: patients can apply ice packs and ice massage to promote the swelling of traumatic synovitis, and can also use ultrashort wave or microwave therapy to reduce the inflammatory reaction, and in the late stage of the treatment, muscle contraction activity exercise can be carried out to prevent atrophy of the muscles around the joints and to maintain the mobility of the joints.
2. Medication: Diclofenac, ibuprofen and other medications can be used to relieve pain. When it is clear that synovitis is caused by microbial infection, penicillin and other antibacterial drugs can be used for anti-infection treatment.
3. Surgery: If conservative treatment is ineffective, arthroscopic radiofrequency ablation can cause necrosis of the diseased synovial tissue, and arthroscopic synovectomy can be performed to completely remove the diseased synovial tissue.
If patients with synovitis and joint swelling continues to be unrelieved, they should go to the hospital in time to identify the cause of the disease and carry out targeted treatment, and the use of medication please follow the doctor’s instructions.
