The waterfall stomach is a normal physiologic form of the stomach that can be classified according to the shape of the stomach during a barium meal gastrointestinal imaging. The stomach can be classified as a bull’s-eye stomach, a hook-shaped stomach, a waterfall stomach, and a long stomach. The shape of waterfall stomach is that the bottom of the stomach is tilted backward in the shape of a pouch, which is mostly seen in the common stomach shape of medium-sized or short and fat body, and this part of the patient will fill up the bottom of the stomach with food after eating, just like a waterfall, so the food will be easily retained in the bottom of the stomach, and some of the patients will have obvious abdominal distension, flatulence, etc. The methods to overcome it are as follows: 1) the stomach will be filled up, and 2) the bottom of the stomach will be filled up with food, which is like a waterfall. The way to overcome it is as follows: 1, not to eat a full meal; 2, after eating, if possible, you can first rest, lie down for half an hour before exercise. If there are still obvious symptoms of bloating and hiccups after the above treatments, patients can be advised to add prokinetic drugs to relieve the symptoms of bloating.
