A period of 10 days is abnormal, which means there is a prolonged menstrual period. Clarify the cause of abnormal menstruation, and then treat it symptomatically. If a woman of childbearing age has sexual intercourse without contraception, abnormal vaginal bleeding due to pregnancy should be ruled out, and blood HCG and gynecological ultrasound examination should be performed. If the prolonged menstrual period is caused by gynecological bleeding, it can be treated by ovulation promotion and menstrual regulation for anovulatory gynecological bleeding, or by estrogen and progestin sequential therapy for ovulatory gynecological bleeding. In case of prolonged menstruation due to endometrial thickening, diagnostic scraping, hemostatic treatment and determination of the cause can be performed. In case of persistent vaginal bleeding due to fibroids, drug or surgical treatment can be chosen according to the location, size and number of fibroids. Cervical lesions causing abnormal menstruation need to be screened for cervical cancer and then given appropriate treatment.
