The latest diagnostic and treatment program for new coronavirus pneumonia has not substantially adjusted the criteria for confirming the diagnosis of new coronavirus, and mainly follows the original criteria for confirming the diagnosis, of which nucleic acid positivity is an important means of diagnosis. The diagnostic criteria for new coronavirus pneumonia are still the same as the original diagnostic criteria. That is, according to the epidemiological history, laboratory examination, clinical manifestations, imaging examination and other comprehensive analysis, the new coronavirus nucleic acid test positive for the new crown as the primary criteria for confirmation of the diagnosis. Epidemiological history such as history of travel in the case community or history of contact with new coronavirus-infected patients within 14 days prior to the onset of the disease, and two of the relevant clinical manifestations, specific imaging features, and blood cell alterations, are generally judged as suspected cases. Suspected cases with positive nucleic acid or positive IgM and IgG antibodies in unvaccinated patients are usually recognized as confirmed cases. Note: The terms “new coronavirus pneumonia” and “new coronavirus pneumonia” mentioned in this article were renamed to “new coronavirus infection” on December 26, 2022, as announced by the National Health Commission.
