What’s with the red poop?

Excretion of red stool may be physiological factors, may also be pathological factors, such as hemorrhoids, anal fissure, anal polyps and so on.
1. Physiological factors: If you eat too much red food, such as red dragon fruit, watermelon, tomatoes, etc., if the body does not fully decompose the pigment, when discharged from the body, there may be a red stool, which is a normal phenomenon, after a period of time can be relieved on their own.
2. Pathological factors:
(1) hemorrhoids: if you suffer from hemorrhoids, if the hemorrhoidal core veins rupture, it can lead to local bleeding, thus appearing red stool.
(2) anal fissure: prolonged constipation or diarrhea, anal trauma, inflammatory bowel disease and other factors lead to the whole skin cracking, the formation of ulcers, thus showing the discharge of red stool.
(3) anal polyps: if the polyp epidermal tissue damage, usually manifested as painless blood in stool, the blood will be attached to the surface of the stool, dark red or bright red, and the amount of bleeding is usually not much.
