Diseases that can cause stomach pain that is slightly relieved after a bowel movement commonly include acute gastroenteritis, irritable bowel syndrome and so on.
1. Acute gastroenteritis: acute inflammation of the gastrointestinal mucosa can be caused by pathogenic microbial infections or eating cold and other irritating foods, alcoholism and other non-infectious factors, which can be manifested as diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, etc., and the abdominal pain can be relieved slightly after a bowel movement.
2. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): a dysfunctional syndrome with common symptoms of abdominal pain or abdominal discomfort, accompanied by changes in bowel frequency and/or shape. Abdominal pain is associated with defecation and mostly improves after defecation. Symptoms tend to be recurrent or chronically prolonged.
If symptoms such as abdominal pain or other discomforts occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible to identify the cause and standardize the treatment.
