Hair loss after childbirth is mainly due to the sudden drop in estrogen levels in the body after childbirth, resulting in a large amount of hair loss as the hair follicles on the scalp enter an acute resting phase. This kind of hair loss need not be overly worried, maintain a good state of mind, sufficient sleep, after a few months to six months or so, hair loss will be able to relieve, hair can grow out again. During pregnancy, the estrogen level in a woman’s body is relatively high, and there is no obvious hair loss during this period, but after giving birth, the hormone level in the body will drop significantly, thus causing the hair follicles to enter the resting period early, and postpartum hair loss will appear, starting from about 8-13 weeks after giving birth. Since the resting period of the hair follicles is about three months, the hair will grow back again after about six months of postpartum hair loss.
