Eczema on baby’s face, or infantile eczema, is an atopic dermatitis that occurs in infancy, some of which can be self-healed with age, and some of which can develop into childhood.
Infantile eczema occurs on the cheeks, forehead, scalp and other areas of infants, and is categorized into oozing and drying types, which are mainly characterized by erythematous spots, papules and blisters, accompanied by intense itching. The mild symptoms have a certain degree of self-healing, and some of the disease can gradually reduce with age. Some of the conditions may recur and extend into childhood or even into adulthood.
The cause of infantile eczema is unclear and may be related to genetic, immunologic, or environmental factors. Medications are often used to relieve symptoms. Commonly used medications include hydrocortisone butyrate cream, etc., which should be used in accordance with medical advice.
