Generally, menstruation does not return to normal immediately after a medical abortion and must be performed only after two menstrual periods have been secured. The timing is usually on the 3rd-7th day after menstruation without intercourse. Before the operation, vaginal discharge, routine blood, ultrasound and hepatitis, syphilis, AIDS tests are routinely performed. If there is vaginitis, it is recommended to treat the inflammation with intravaginal medication first and then proceed after excluding the relevant contraindications to the operation, otherwise the IUD is a reverse operation that may cause inflammation to infect the uterine cavity. The precautions after IUI should not be neglected, such as no sexual intercourse for two weeks, no heavy physical work, oral antibiotics and hemostatic drugs, a small amount of bleeding is normal. There may be bleeding within six months after IUI, but it is not a big problem as long as it does not exceed the amount of menstruation, and some people may feel soreness and pain in the back, which are normal reactions after IUI. Remember to review the ultrasound after your period to see if the ring has shifted. Although the main purpose of the IUD is to prevent pregnancy, it does not mean that it is 100% successful, there is a small chance of pregnancy with the IUD, so if your period is delayed for more than a week, you should be tested for pregnancy in time.
