What is the difference between heart disease and cardiac neurosis

Patients with cardiac neurosis and heart disease do not necessarily have distinct clinical symptoms, for example, patients with cardiac neurosis and heart disease have significant chest tightness and shortness of breath, palpitations, panic, and precordial discomfort. However, patients with cardiac neurosis are usually of middle age, while patients with heart disease are usually older and predominantly middle-aged. In addition, patients with heart disease have specific changes in electrocardiogram and cardiac function tests, such as cardiac ultrasound or coronary CT and angiography. However, in patients with cardiac neurology, it is rare to see significant organic disease on cardiac ultrasound, cardiac function monitoring, and coronary CT and angiography, and they are usually within normal limits. Therefore, the distinction between heart disease and cardiac neurosis should never be made on the basis of clinical symptoms alone, but must be made on the basis of objective ancillary tests.
