Dioscorea villosa is composed of Rhizoma Dioscorea villosa, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix Acorus Calamus and Rhizoma Uva Ursi. In the formula, Dioscorea Villosa is used to promote dampness and dispel turbidity; Yi Zhi Ren is used to astringe essence and shrink urine, warming and tonifying kidney yang; Acorus Calamus is used to dispel turbidity and dispel dampness; Radix Aconiti is used to dissipate cold, warm the kidneys and relieve pain and move qi; and Glycyrrhiza glabra is used to harmonize all the medicines (harmonize the properties of different herbs). Adverse effects of this product is not clear, allergic to this product is prohibited, avoid eating tea, vinegar, greasy and spicy stimulating food.
