Nasopharyngeal cancer ear pain?

When patients develop the condition of nasopharyngeal cancer, it will not directly lead to the symptomatic feeling of pain in the ear area. Nasopharyngeal cancer may affect the function of Eustachian tube, which may further cause dysfunction of Eustachian tube, leading to negative pressure in the middle ear and even further effusion. There will be blockage, stuffiness, hearing loss, tinnitus and other symptoms related to secretory otitis media in the ear area. If the patient has obvious pain in the ear area, it may be related to acute inflammation and infection of the external auditory canal, or even boils and infected cysts in the external auditory canal. Some patients may have a combination of infectious diseases of the upper respiratory tract, which may cause acute otitis media. If the symptoms of ear pain are more pronounced, further detailed examination of the ear is required.
