Symptoms of cancer bone metastasis mainly include pain, bone damage, elevated blood calcium and so on. 1. Pain: Bone pain is usually one of the first symptoms of cancer bone metastasis, which is manifested as localized pain and pressure pain, and the pain can be intermittent, and the intensity of pain can be gradually aggravated with the progress of the disease. 2. Bone injury: after the malignant tumor cells metastasize to the bone, they can release substances that promote the formation of osteoclasts and osteoblasts, resulting in bone damage and abnormal bone hardness, leading to pathological fracture symptoms. Common metastatic sites are vertebrae, ribs, pelvis and long bones of limbs, and most of them are osteolytic lesions. 3. Elevated blood calcium: Bone metastasis of cancer can lead to elevated blood calcium due to extensive osteolytic lesions, resulting in hypercalcemia, and patients may have symptoms such as loss of appetite, vomiting, fatigue, blurred consciousness, polyuria or constipation. During the treatment of primary cancer, patients’ symptoms and signs should be closely monitored, diagnosed by X-ray, CT scan, magnetic resonance imaging and other imaging tests, and given symptomatic treatment.
