Foods to prevent cataracts

Eating more foods rich in vitamin C is helpful in preventing cataracts. Cataracts are a common disease in ophthalmology and in most cases are caused by aging factors. As we age, the lens fibers inside the eye degenerate, which reduces the transparency of the lens, and the patient suffers from a loss of vision, known as cataracts. Eating foods rich in vitamin C, such as fresh green leafy vegetables and fruits such as kiwi, oranges, mangoes, tangerines and kiwi, can play a role in replenishing vitamin C. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and anti-aging, so it can play a role in preventing cataracts from occurring and slowing down the aggravation of cataracts.
