Children’s palate redness may be physiological, but also may be related to stomatitis, herpes pharyngitis, hand, foot and mouth disease and other pathological factors. 1. Physiological factors: children’s oral mucosa is relatively delicate, eating too hot food can appear on the palate redness symptoms, usually the symptoms can be relieved by themselves to disappear. 2. Pathologic factors (1) stomatitis: mostly related to viral infections, local inflammatory stimulation can cause localized redness, swelling and congestion of the soft palate. (2) Herpes pharyngitis: mostly related to enterovirus, often contagious, can be manifested as headache, high fever, small blisters on the oral mucosa, which can be accompanied by redness of the palate. (3) Hand, foot and mouth disease: a febrile rash infectious disease caused by enterovirus with herpes on the hands, feet and mouth, which may manifest as fever, sore throat, lack of appetite and other symptoms, and may also cause redness of the palate. If children have symptoms of redness of the palate, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time after eliminating physiological factors, to clarify the cause of the disease and then actively treat it, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
