Survival of cancer patients with bone metastases

Metastatic tumor in bone generally belongs to the advanced stage of tumor, and the survival time is generally short, maybe about half year to one year, but some cancer bone metastasis can still survive for more than 5 years after active and effective treatment. It mainly depends on the location of the primary tumor and the underlying physical condition, if the physical condition is better, the survival time may be longer. For bone metastatic tumor, firstly, it will cause local pain and discomfort, so you can use painkillers, such as aminoglutethimide for pain relief. In addition, local pathological fracture may occur, so local force or trauma should be avoided. In case of metastatic bone tumor of limb, it can be protected by appropriate splinting external fixation; in case of metastatic bone tumor of spine, it can be protected by wearing brace.
