What are the treatment options for breast cancer surgery

The surgical treatment options for breast cancer are as follows: 1) modified radical surgery: excision of breast, preservation of pectoralis major and minor muscles, and clearance of axillary lymph nodes; 2) preserved breast radical surgery: preservation of breast, excision of part of the breast quadrant, and clearance of lymph nodes; 3) simple mastectomy: if the sentinel lymph node biopsy is negative, clearance of breast lymph nodes is not required. Breast cancer treatment guidelines suggest that neoadjuvant chemotherapy can be considered for those with isolated breast tumors larger than 5 cm, and after 2-3 courses of treatment and tumor volume reduction, those with breast-conserving conditions can be considered for radical mastectomy with breast preservation. Those who do not have breast-conserving conditions can undergo modified radical surgery.
