Can tire chrysanthemum get rid of dampness?

Dampness mostly belongs to the category of “dampness and obscenity” in Chinese medicine, while chrysanthemum, as a traditional Chinese medicine, can disperse wind and clear heat, calm the liver and improve eyesight, etc., but generally can’t get rid of dampness.
Chrysanthemum is the dried flower buds of chrysanthemum, family Asteraceae, and is slightly cold in nature. Its effects include dispersing wind and clearing away heat, calming the liver and clearing the eyes, and clearing heat and removing toxins, etc. It can be used for the treatment or improvement of wind-heat and cold, headache and dizziness, redness and pain in the eyes, blurring of the eyes, as well as carbuncle and swelling and poison, etc. Therefore, it does not dispel dampness. Therefore, chrysanthemum does not have the effect of dispelling dampness.
To get rid of dampness, use Poria, Coix Seed (caution for pregnant women), Ze Xie Diarrhea and other Chinese herbs. However, the selection and use of Chinese herbs should be guided by a doctor’s diagnosis in order to better utilize the medicinal effects, and it is not advisable to blindly choose Chinese herbs on one’s own, as unauthorized use of medicines may cause adverse consequences.
