Biological tumor therapy is the fourth major treatment for tumors, and its treatment concept is different from traditional treatments. The 2011 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to three scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the field of immunology, including Ralph Steinman for his discovery of DC. Mr. Steinman was honored for his discovery of DC. We have now utilized Mr. Steinman’s scientific discoveries to use DC in anti-tumor therapy, and Mr. Steinman himself has prolonged his own life by treating patients with pancreatic cancer with DC cells that he himself discovered. These are not only the affirmation of the anti-tumor effect of biotherapy technology, but also the infinite hope for the majority of cancer patients! The application of biological therapy at the early stage of tumor can greatly reduce the chance of tumor recurrence and metastasis and improve the tumor cure rate. The characteristics of biologic therapy technology are: (1) Since it utilizes the immune system of the body and uses appropriate therapeutic targets, it can be applied to almost all tumor patients and is the best method for individualized tumor treatment. (2) As long as the appropriate therapeutic targets are applied, biologic therapy has significant efficacy on primary tumors, metastatic tumors or chemoradiotherapy-resistant tumors.
