How to read a tubal x-ray

During the test, barium is injected into the uterus and the flow of the barium is viewed under the X-ray to see if the tubes are open. If the fallopian tubes are very open, the barium can enter the pelvic cavity smoothly through both fallopian tubes, and the barium will be diffused in the pelvic cavity. If the tubes are not open, the barium will not be able to pass through the fallopian tubes, and the photograph will indicate that most of the barium has accumulated in the uterine cavity, and only a little barium is in the lumen of the fallopian tubes, or there will be a barium filling defect, and there will be obvious resistance when pushing the medicine. The patient will also experience abdominal pain and discomfort during the imaging procedure, and if the patient has such symptoms, it is not recommended to continue the examination.
