Amoxicillin granules are used to control bacterial infections and are an oral penicillin antibiotic that can be taken by adults and children. When taking the medicine, tear open the sachet, pour the medicine into prepared cool boiled water, stir well and then drink it. The specification of amoxicillin granules is 125mg per sachet, i.e. 0.125g. The common dosage for adults is 4 sachets of 500mg each time, once every 6-8 hours, 3-4 times a day, and the maximum daily amount is 32 sachets, i.e. 4g. The dosage for children is calculated according to their body weight, and the total daily dosage is 20-40mg/kg, taken once every 8 hours, 3 times a day. For newborns and premature infants, 50mg per dose, and for children 1-3 months, 15mg/kg per dose, every 12 hours. The dose for children can also refer to age and be taken every 8 hours, half a sachet each time up to 1 year old, 1 sachet each time 1-3 years old, 1.5 sachets each time 3-5 years old, 2 sachets each time 5-10 years old and 2-3 sachets each time over 10 years old.
